Describe la exposición Corpus de Sun Cok, artista plástico, diseñador y músico, presentada en la sala SUM de la Librería Arcadia Mediática, en Lima. Corpus es una instalación/mural que busca ser una suerte de organismo activo que evoluciona cada cierto lapso de tiempo. Este organismo crece durante el tiempo que dure la instalación, teniendo como eje central del proceso el último día de la exposición. Corpus es un organismo ficticio creado por la suma de partes humanas, fusionadas y organizadas formando un nuevo cuerpo en evolución, inspirado en una especie de Frankenstein visual: partes del cuerpo humano, flexiones nuevas, nuevos huesos, nuevas articulaciones dan forma a un ser que evoluciona en cada sesión apoderándose del espacio.

Esta es una colección de sugerentes ilustraciones donde Betty explora el mundo femenino, su dominio sobre la mente, el cuerpo y su libertad. Sus dibujos con líneas sutiles construyen imágenes sugerentes en donde la sexualidad es mostrada sin vulgaridad de una manera ingeniosa. Algunas imágenes son divertidas y también la ironía forma parte de ellas, para que quienes las contemplen desde el placer y la imaginación inventen sus propias historias.

Carlos Chong conoce al artista y fotógrafo Manolo Lau en la Casa de la Cultura de Pacasmayo.
El abuelo de Manolo, Benjamin Lau Yen, llegó al Perú a inicios del siglo pasado, se casó en Pacasmayo con Luzmila Ainzoain Lezama (peruana). Manolo, es la segunda generación tusán. Su abuelo fue uno de los principales hacendados de la zona.
Manolo estudiaba Derecho y Ciencias Políticas en la Universidad de Lima hasta que interrumpió sus estudios para incursionar en el mundo del arte que tanto le atraía. En cuanto a su otra pasión, Manolo cultiva la fotografía desde que era niño. Siempre lleva una cámara con él y, como en todo aprendizaje, ha incursionado en diferentes disciplinas fotográficas.

El 22 de noviembre de 2018, en el Museo Regional Adolfo Bermúdez Jenkins, de la ciudad de Ica, se inauguró en el Salón Warmi, la exposición colectiva "La mujer y sus raíces ancestrales". Esta exposición, convocada por el colectivo Pintoras Perú, reúne a pintoras y poetas nacionales, y, esta vez, con artistas extranjeras invitadas. Artistas tusanes integran la lista de convocadas en esta exposición: Jeanette Villarreal Kan, pintora, educadora, presente con su pintura Mujer Paracas y Miriam Chiu, magnífica grabadora con su libro de artista Crónica Sur y colaboradora de Tusanaje. El artículo recoge algunas fotografías del evento.

La colección Literatura tusán fue creada en 2020 para documentar la producción literaria de los autores descendientes de chinos en el Perú, con ello se pretedende visibilizar que la literatura hecha por autores tusanes comprende un amplio espectro de temas y géneros que dialoga con lo peruano, lo tusán, lo chino y lo universal. <br /><br />La recopilación realizada es un recorrido literario por los más de 170 años de inmigración china al Perú, periodo en que han aparecido autores como Pedro Zulen y Kuan Veng en la década de 1920, Sui Yun en la década de 1970-1980, Siu Kam Wen en la década de 1980, Julia Wong Kcomt y Julio Villanueva Chang en la década de 1990, junto a una explosión de nuevos autores en los años 2000 que se autoreconocen como tusanes: Miguel Ángel Sanz Chung, Fanny Jem Wong, Tania Agüero Dejo, Nilton Maa, entre otros. Sumamos a este valioso grupo de escritores, al siempre poeta fundamental descendiente de chinos: Enrique Verástegui Ah Tao Ko (como se autodenomina en su artículo El aporte tusán al Perú) y que incorporó en su extensa obra literaria elementos del pensamiento filosófico chino.<br /><br />Rescatamos también la obra literaria de los autores tusanes Armando Guerrero Rodríguez y Roger Li Mau, como valiosos escritos que retratan y recrean los procesos de adaptación y resistencia de los inmigrantes chinos y sus descendientes.<br /><br />Gran parte de esta colección ha sido desarrollada gracias a los Estímulos Económicos para la Cultura 2022 del Ministerio de Cultura del Perú a través del proyecto beneficiario <em>Visibilización de la comunidad peruano china a través de la difusión de la producción literaria de autores tusanes</em>. Lo que nos ha permitido sumar 155 fichas bibliográficas que documentan la memoria de la producción literaria de los tusanes en el Perú.<br /><img src="http://tusanaje.org/biblioteca/files/original/Logo-EstImulos_2022_color.jpg" style="width: 270px; height: 270px; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" img="" alt="Estimulos Mincul 2022" />

La llegada de los inmigrantes chinos a México a partir de la década de 1870, fue promovida por empresarios y gobierno para hacer frente a la gran demanda de mano de obra, originada por las fuertes inversiones en la minería, ferrocarriles y la agricultura, sin embargo a partir del inicio de la Revolución mexicana, estos trabajadores fueron sistemáticamente atacados, sus propiedades confiscadas y casi en su totalidad deportados. Durante la llamada “campaña anti-chinos”, la logia masónica Chee Kung Tong 致公堂 les brindó protección y apoyo, funcionando con las mismas características de las ancestrales sociedades secretas en China.

"Escribir la historia de los chinos que vinieron a Cuba contratados, es una labor fruto modesto de mi constancia, en las horas que puedo disponer; valiéndome de los datos que he podido adquirir entre la antigua Colonia China, de aquellos chinos que vinieron a Cuba, contratados por ocho años de esclavitud, en época Colonial." Así inicia el libro escrito por Antonio Chuffat Latour, que a través de sus 176 páginas abarca la historia de la presencia china en Cuba desde 1847 a 1895 articulando hechos como la llegada de los primeros contingentes de chinos contratados a La Habana, los oficios y comercios desarrollados, las insurrecciones, el teatro chino, los juegos de lotería, las fiestas a Kuan Kong, la diversidad de los dialectos, la participación de los chinos en la independencia de Cuba, entre otros aspectos.

La Sociedad Pun Yui del Perú es una de las pocas sociedades formadas por inmigrantes chinos que en la actualidad posee un museo en el cual recoge las reliquias e historia de su institución. Dicho museo fue ideado por su directiva en 2009 como una forma de rescatar y revalorar su patrimonio y evitar la pérdida del mismo, como lamentablemente ha ocurrido en otras instituciones similares en el país. En la actualidad el museo busca un acercamiento más directo con la sociedad, siendo el único en su tipo en el Barrio Chino de Lima.
